Run monthly searches to find out who is due (reporting/population reporting/ Harborne Medical Practice / Ardens 1.5/ Immunisation Searches)

childhood imms

use Accurx template "childhood imms" - it allows the parent to reply with preferred dates. Reply to them with an appointment date / time. Tick the box to allow response so that they can change it.

You will need to work through:

• primary imms (8/12/16 weeks)
• one year imms - check folder for age 2 as well
• pre-school booster - check age 4 as well

If patients have had one of imms, check for others - if possible wrong coding discuss with a doctor.

Run time sensitive searches weekly to ensure we are not missing anyone

Pertussis in Pregnancy

Run search monthly. Check the patient's record before texting. Ideally they should be 16-32 weeks pregnant. Later is fine. If 14-16 weeks, it's fine to text now. If earlier, leave them until they are nearer.

Check for patients who have already had their baby, and code this. Try to make sure patients are not sent a text inappropriately, for example if they have had a foetal loss.

Text using the template "pertussis in pregnancy" and book appointments according to their response.
