CT KUB for renal colic

Stringent referral criteria which must be met:
Face-to-face GP consultation
Classic loin to groin pain less than seven days
Microscopic haematuria >2+
No CT KUB in the previous 6 months
Proof that the patient is not pregnant
A specific proforma has been designed for this purpose. This should be emailed to the following central email address: CTBookingsHGS@uhb.nhs.uk
The expectation is that these patients will be scanned within 72 hours of submission of the referral. Scans will initially be performed at Solihull Hospital with a view to include other sites as capacity allows.
